Informazioni su WunderDict

Un dizionario di tedesco che ricorda, con gli esercizi per fissare le parole nella memoria.

In short

Why it works

You build it yourself

The vocabulary that sticks is the vocabulary you chose. A word you looked up because you needed it carries a context that a ready-made deck never will. So WunderDict puts the list first: search in German or English, save the word, and its article, plural, level and examples are filled in for you.

Active recall and spacing

Two ideas from learning science do most of the work. Active recall: pulling a word out of memory beats reading it again, so practice here means answering, not just looking. Spaced repetition: a word comes back just before you would forget it, and the gap grows as it gets easier. A word counts as Known once you have recalled it several times across different days.

What you get

Every mode runs on your own lists. Questions are untimed and have two options, so you get a lot of reps in a little time. The timed challenge in Word Match and Preposition Match is just for fun and does not count toward your progress.

Lists are yours to shape: rename them, pin them, group them into collections, and practise a whole collection at once. Inside a list, words are grouped by part of speech, and each entry comes with its article, plural, level and examples. The Progress page shows the words you know, your accuracy and a year of activity, without nagging.

What it is not

WunderDict is not a course and not a tutor. It has no lesson plan, does not teach grammar from scratch, and will not correct your sentences or train your listening. It does one job, making vocabulary stick, so pair it with a course, a tutor, or plenty of reading and listening. Why use WunderDict explains where it fits.

Built on open lexical data (WikDict, drawn from Wiktionary) and a graded lexicon of German, the same data behind the grammar guides.
