Terms of Service

WunderDict lets you build word lists, look up German and English words, and review them with quizzes and flash cards. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

• You may register with an email and password, or sign in with Google.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.
• Provide accurate information, and keep your account details up to date.
• You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone's rights.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
• Scrape, bulk-download, or resell the Service or its data, or use automated means to access it beyond normal personal use.
• Abuse the lookup or practice features in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on our systems.

The word lists and notes you create are yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to store, process, and display that content back to you so the Service can operate. You are responsible for the content you add and for having the right to use it.

Dictionary data (definitions, translations, grammar, examples) generated or cached by the Service is part of the shared product and is not your content.

WunderDict is a learning aid. Translations and grammatical details are produced with the help of automated tools (including machine translation and language models) and may be incomplete or incorrect. Do not rely on them for professional, legal, medical, or other critical purposes.

The Service relies on third parties (for example Google sign-in, Google Translate, and OpenRouter). Your use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google's terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party services.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, and we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WunderDict will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the Service in a way that could harm it or other users.

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, make a reasonable effort to notify you. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
