Cookie Policy

Effective 27 October 2026

Essential cookies and browser storage keep you signed in, secure sign-in, remember language/appearance and cookie choices, and store guest vocabulary or unfinished practice. Optional analytics and advertising are off by default everywhere, including for paid subscribers. Change or withdraw either choice using Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawing or changing a choice may reload the page to stop previously loaded measurement scripts.

Browser storage and payment services

Browser storage: wunderdict_guest_lists and guest-demo markers store your guest vocabulary; wd-theme, wd-text-size, wd-reduce-motion and wd-compact remember appearance; list-sort preferences remember ordering; pending practice answers stay until successfully synchronized or cleared. These functional items are not advertising identifiers. Local storage generally persists until the feature clears it or you clear site data in your browser; clearing it can remove guest vocabulary and unsynchronized answers. Cookie choices are stored in your browser; signed-in choices are also stored with your account. A failed account save is shown and can be retried; the newer browser choice is preserved.

With analytics consent, Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights collect public-page usage/performance without analytics cookies. Google Analytics and Ads are loaded only for their granted category on public informational pages. Sensitive routes are excluded and URL queries/fragments are removed. Rejecting optional categories keeps these integrations off; it does not disable authentication, learning records or billing. Stripe/Link checkout and payment-management pages have their own necessary payment/security storage and privacy notices; an optional advertising choice is not required to buy or manage a plan.
