  • Half-remember the English? Search that, and land on the German entry.
  • Each entry shows only the fields its part of speech needs.

What is WunderDict?

A German dictionary that also remembers. Every word you look up comes back with its article, plural, level, translations and example sentences, and can go straight into a list. Lists are where practice starts: WunderDict quizzes you on the words you chose, not on someone else's vocabulary.

Which practice modes are there?

Every mode runs on your own lists. Practice needs a free account so your progress is saved.

Who is it for?

Anyone already learning German, from A1 to C1, through a course, a book or daily life. When a word stops you mid-article or mid-lesson, look it up, save it, and get back to what you were doing. Your course gives you the structure; WunderDict keeps the vocabulary you meet along the way.

What it does not do

WunderDict is not a course and not a chat tutor. It has no lesson plan, does not teach grammar from scratch, and will not correct your sentences. It does one job: turn a word you just met into a reliable entry, and into a list you will come back to.
